Concerning Population Growth in India

While most people know that China has the largest population on earth, this is not going to be true for long. India has seen an unprecedented growth in population growth over the last few years, setting the stage for them to overtake China within the next decade. This means that population growth in India is one of the biggest concerns for people inside and outside of the country.

When there is a significant increase in population, it is important to make sure infrastructure and supply chains can take care of this growth in population. A system that works for ten thousand people will crumble when the load of thirty thousand people bears down upon it. This is true for cities, farms, and even roads, showing that India has a long road ahead of them to ensure that they can support their population.

However, India has been rather good at making sure that they keep up with their population. While some parts of the country are sliding back, in the central, new infrastructure and new support systems are being put in place for individuals who need them. This means that India is creating a country that can deal with their population boom, and that can be truly set to challenge other countries on the world stage. There are still some concerns, but they have taken the biggest step towards ensuring that they will have a prosperous future.

One of the most major concerns still facing them is smog and the increasing emissions that a growing population emits. This has become particularly concerning in the major cities where the air quality has begun to decline quickly. In this, India is also taking after China and may need to look towards them for help. Air in Dehli is quickly matching that of Beijing, making it nearly impossible for healthy breathing to take place. India has stepped up and recognized that this is a problem, making it possible for them to stem the flow of pollution and turn back the clock on the damaging effects.

This is one area where India has been particularly cooperative with the rest of the world and has shown a great willingness to compromise. They have met with some world leaders and have been slowly devising a plan to help their air quality improve.

As with any region that received a significant number of people, population growth in India is bringing about some growing pains that need to be dealt with on a regular basis. However, these growing pains can be a good thing, and they are pushing India further into the 21st century, making it clear that they are a force to be reckoned with. The unusual changes to their country are a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch a vast country evolve into a global nation that stands high and proud in the face of challenges and international criticism.
